Renting the whole flat in Alicante should cost you about 500 euros per month. One room per month is from 150 to 200 euros. There are also a lot of paper announcements placed around the University bus stop (bus No. 24). You should be allowed to have a dog. There are a lot of people having pets in Spain. Well for a start Tenerife in the Canary Islands is no where near Alicante which is mainland Spain, Costa Blanca to be precise.
